About the Author

Jorge Luis Borges had a very interesting life. Even at an early age he already knew two languages — Spanish and English. By the time he graduated from school, he added German and French to this collection. It happened mostly as a result of the cosmopolitan life his family led. He traveled to a lot of European countries and saw a lot of places. Knowing four languages, he was able to read the vast majority of books that existed. All this led to a vivid imagination and metaphorical thinking. Having seen a lot of places and read a lot of books, Borges probably became even more intrigued by different aspects of our life, and this curiosity paved the way for the creation of brilliant stories that we analyze today.
